A Little About Me

I love reading, podcasts, watching documentaries (usually alone, sadly), and just learning in general. Those are my indoor sports. But you’ll usually find me out and about.

I’m a great lover of the outdoors, travel and adventure. I’ve been living by the 10,000 steps/day principle for years now. Sometimes that means long, meditative walks around the neighborhood. Other times it’s riverside hikes, mountain trails, city treks or long bike rides. Whenever possible, it’s visiting new and (to me) unexplored places around the world.

I especially enjoy when learning and adventure are pursued as a team experience. As a young buck, I led bicycle tours (ask me about Seattle to Tijuana, Mexico and why I should have ended it in San Diego) and trained as a wilderness expedition guide with the National Outdoor Leadership School. I studied and practiced experiential learning, serving as a group facilitator for an adventure-based group development program in New England. I was a college athlete (rugby) and have coached multiple teams, all experiences contributing to my sense of team building and team performance.
